Oddlings is een samenwerkingsproject van Angela Dirven (Wolkenruiters) en John Kessels (Vlieg- & Kunstwerk / studioETC).
Zij maken bijzondere acts, waarin acrobatiek en theater in balans zijn.

De act Alienzz is het verhaal van de ontmoeting tussen twee buitenaardse wezens.
In Mannekino nemen ze U mee naar de etalage van Marvin's retro-winkel.
In Double X brengen ze een actie-serie op het podium.
Daarnaast geven ze acrobatiek workshops, en maken projecten op maat.
 

Oddlings is a cooperation of John Kessels (Vlieg- & Kunstwerk / studioETC) and Angela Dirven (Wolkenruiters). Together they make theatrical acrobatic acts.

The act Alienzz is the story of the encounter of two extra-terrestrials.
In Mannekino they take you to the shopwindow of Marvin's retro-shop.
In Double X they bring an action serie onto the stage.
Besides that, they give acrobatics workshops and make tight-fit projects.  

Op zijn lange reis door het universum is ruimtereiziger Trillian de weg een beetje kwijtgeraakt. In de hoop een aanwijzing te vinden, landt hij op de planeet Xarg. Daar vindt hij echter meer: het groene wezentje Zanna. Wat volgt is een kennismaking vol buitelingen en acrobatische toeren. Hun ontluikende vriendschap wordt echter op de proef gesteld als Trillian een boodschap van zijn thuisplaneet ontvangt.

In Alienzz worden acrobatiek en theater gecombineerd tot een boeiend schouwspel van vloeiende bewegingen met een speels tintje.
Eventueel kan een voorstelling van Alienzz gecombineerd worden met een workshop acrobatiek.

Een dvd met fragmenten van de voorstelling is op aanvraag beschikbaar.

On his long journey through the universe, space traveller Trillian seems to have lost his way. In the hope to find a clue, he lands on the planet Xarg. But he finds more there: the little green creature Zanna. What follows, is an acquaintance full of tumbles and acrobatic escapades. However, their sprouting friendship is being tested as Trillian gets a message from his home planet.

In Alienzz acrobatics and theater are combined into a fascinating spectacle of fluent movements with a playful tone.
It's possible to combine a performance of Alienzz with a workshop in acrobatics.

A dvd with scenes of the act is available.

In de etalage van zijn retro-kledingwinkel heeft Marvin zijn handen vol aan zijn nieuwe etalage-pop Moon. Een bijzonder model pop, waar meer leven in blijkt te zitten dan je zou denken ...

Mannekino is the comical and surprising tale of a window-dresser and a manikin in which the acrobatic tricks are interwoven as part of the story.

Marvin is working in the shop-window of his retro-clothing store, and is having a lot of trouble with Moon, his new manikin. A special manikin, that has more life in it than one might think ...

Double X
Twee speciaal agenten op een missie

Oddlings speelt in “Double X” een aflevering van de gelijknamige televisieserie.
Deze keer binden de agenten de strijd aan met een gevaarlijke organisatie met snode plannen.
“Double X” is een visuele act met veel acrobatiek, actie, geluidseffecten en lekkere muziek. Én een spetterende eindscene waarin alle acrobatische wapens uit de kast getrokken worden om de tegenstanders te verslaan.
In “Double X” is, net als in de andere acts van Oddlings, de acrobatiek geïntegreerd in een verhaal.

Double X
Two special agents on a mission

Oddlings plays in “Double X” an episode of the well-known tv-series.
This time the agents conquer a dangerous organisation with evil plans.
“Double X” is a highly visual act with lots of acrobatics, action, sound effects and good music. And a splashing finale in which all acrobatic weapons are used to fight the villains.
In “Double X”, just as in the other acts of Oddlings, acrobatics is integrated in a story.

In 16feet bundelt Oddlings de krachten met andere Nederlandse acrobaten.
De groep is erg flexibel: in grootte, in samenstelling, in aankleding, ...
Daardoor zijn de mogelijkheden ook zo goed als onbeperkt.
